alaska: the last frontier

wow, alaska seems really interesting:
1. Alaska is also the only state to allow legal possession of marijuana: an adult may possess four ounces for personal use.

2. it is twice as big as texas

3. it has 3,5 million lakes over the size of 20 acres!

4. 82% of Alaskans are Christians. 5% of christians are mormon

5. If the state's westernmost point were superimposed on San Francisco, California, its easternmost point would be in Jacksonville, Florida.

6. Alaska was not granted statehood until January 3, 1959.

7. 75% of Alaska residents are white. 19% are American Indian or Alaska Native, the largest proportion of any state.

8. Its per-capita GSP for 2005 was $60,079, 3rd in the nation. Alaska's economy relies heavily on petroleum extraction, with more than 80% of the state's revenues derived from this industry.

9. while the cost of living has gone down, it is still one of the highest in the country.

10. Alaska has the lowest individual tax burden in the US[23], and is one of only six states with no state sales tax

11. The state capital, Juneau, is not accessible by road, which has spurred several debates over the decades about moving the capital to a city on the road system.

12. Prominent musicians from Alaska include singer Jewel

worse to look like a guy

i asked myself this question:
what is worse? a guy that can dress up as a girl and pass for a girl or a girl who dresses up like a guy and looks like a guy?

for some reason i think it would be worse for a girl who could look like a guy than a guy who could look like a girl. maybe i think that way just because i'm a guy?

singing blog

i haven't checked, but i'd be surprised if this hasn't been done yet: a singing blog
impromptu guitar songs/jamming talking about your events of the day or stuff on your mind...

a cool fun geography quiz game for linux

kgeography - i could play this for hours =)

recent places/locations/topics of interest

corsica (it is actually under french rule! i thought it was italian. the corsican language is similar to italian though)
prussia (they spanned across all of europe and i know nothing of it's (hi-)story)
kaliningrad oblast (a little russian exclave squished between lithuania and poland)
